our area. Over fifty children receive a weekly home visit and come for classroom activities at one of the centers. Betsy works with four home visitors and another teacher to plan and implement a Christian curriculum throughout the school year. Betsy teaches two of the centers. "Being in the classroom with the children is the best part of my job. I love working with the children." Betsy had been a Head Start teacher for 14 years. She has taught in Kentucky, Texas, and California. Betsy attended the University of Cincinnati. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education from Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, California as well as a Childhood Development Credential. Betsy was commissioned as a Home Missionary in 1987. Before teaching she did freelance artwork part time and worked in the local church with her husband. Betsy is married to Chuck Jack, who is serving as the Conference Superintendent for the Red Bird Missionary Conference. They have 6 children. James 27, lives in Kentucky. Annie 26, and David 21, live in California. Ezra 18, attends University of Kentucky in Lexington. Molly 15, and Teddy 12, are students at Red Bird School. The Jack family has lived and served in southeastern Kentucky for over 13 years. "We love the blessings, joys and opportunities we receive serving God in this place." |
