White Stone United Methodist Church Now an Angel Food Ministires Host Site with Holly Court Apartments as Partner Site Orders may be placed at White Stone UMC during the following days and times: First Tuesday evening from 5:30 pm – 6:45 pm The second Saturday from 9 am. – 11 am. The Sunday before Distribution Day from 12:30 pm - 1 pm. During food distribution.
Orders may be placed at Holly Court Apts, Apt 2I, 201 Wiggins Ave., Kilmarnock: Monday - 10 am - 4 pm and Friday 10 am - 2 pm Distribution will be at White Stone United Methodist Church. Order Deadline For March On-Site order deadline is Sunday, Mar 14th at 1 pm. On-line order deadline is Sunday, Mar. 15th at 2 pm with pickup of orders on Saturday, Mar. 20th from 9:30 am – 11 am. Orders not picked up by 11 am will be donated to a local family. Prepayment is required in cash or with food stamps when orders are placed. The menu changes monthly and is available in advance by visiting Angel Food Ministries or stopping by White Stone UM Church office or Thrift Shop. White Stone United Methodist Church is now a Host Site for Angel Food Ministries. We began in November 2008 as a partner site to Northern Neck Angel Care Ministries located in Hague with Norman Borders as Director. Angel Food Ministry offers monthly access to quality, low-cost food. There are no restrictions based on income, family size, or residency for participation and food stamps may be used as payment. Also, there is no application to fill out or qualification required to buy a box/bundle of food. The monthly food bundle costs $30 and yields $80-$90 of frozen, fresh and non-perishable brand name food products. Also available is a senior/convenience box which includes 10 perfectly seasoned, nutritionally balanced fully cooked meals – just heat and serve. Each meal has been developed with the dietary needs of senior citizens in mind, and contains three (3) ounces of protein, a starch, and two vegetables or fruit. In addition; there are special supplemental meat and fresh fruit/veggie boxes averaging $22 each available as add-on orders.
White Stone United Methodist Church is so pleased to have Holly Court Apartments join us in providing quality, low cost food to our lower Northern Neck communities. Organizations, individuals, and other churches are invited to participate in this outreach/ministry program, especially during order distribution on the third Saturday of each month.
