Lenten Studies Offered

You are invited to join one of two study groups (or better yet – attend both) during this Lenten season.  This will be a time to examine the events leading up to the Resurrected Christ and explore the meaning it has for our lives today.  Each study is written by Adam Hamilton.  He is the author of The Journey, an Advent study completed by the women in December.

Brother Bryan will lead the first study group, a seven–part study, 24 Hours That Changed the World.  This study will begin on Sunday, February 19th at 5:00 pm in the church library.  The chapter topics are:

1.    The Last Supper

2.    The Garden of Gethsemane

3.    Condemned by the Righteous

4.    Jesus, Barabbas, and Pilate

5.    The Torture and Humiliation of the King

6.    The Crucifixion

7.    Christ the Victor

The second Lenten study, Final Words from the Cross, will begin on Thursday mornings at 9:30 am at the home of Virginia Lee Brown.  This will begin on February 23rd and will include seven sessions.

A book for participants will be available.  Each session has a DVD segment to enhance and further explore each chapter topic.  Brother Bryan and I are looking forward to this special time of study and contemplation.  Please come and learn with us.

God Bless, Virginia Lee Brown
